Theo Walcott hopes played as a striker on Arsenal

Premier League news: Theo Walcott hopes played as a striker by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, next Premier League season. Walcott believes can score 20 goals for the Gunners this season.

Since purchased from Southampton in 2006, Walcott more plays as a winger at Arsenal. Though the 22 year natural position player is the attacker.

Walcott said he was happy with his role as a winger at Arsenal, but the hope is the last season. Walcott hoping Wenger would give him a chance to play as a striker.

I was contracted as a striker. I want to play in front. I think I've finished doing duty as a winger. I think people forget that I am not a winger. I'm an attacker, but must adapt again for five years not playing position, Walcott said as quoted by The Sun.

I think I did a good job to be a winger at Arsenal. I'm ready to play in any position, but hopefully fans can begin to see me play more forward, said Walcott.

In recent years at Arsenal's Walcott's career stumbled as often with injuries. However, Walcott's success last season scored 13 goals despite long absences due to an ankle injury.

This season promises Walcott will score more goals again, especially if Wenger played as a striker.

I started honing my final settlement after exercise. This season, 15 to 20 goals to be my target. I know will not play in every game. I played with high intensity, so it can not play all the time, said Walcott.

Arsene Wenger also knew it. Hopefully, I was given more freedom. I can not wait to see what would happen this season, lid Walcott.
