Arsenal wanted to replace Samir Nasri with Stewart Downing

Transfer rumors: Arsene Wenger must be ready to rush in the premier league market transfer this summer. Departure and the possibility of going a few star players that make the Arsenal manager must be prepared to negotiate with several clubs to get a substitute.

One player who was wanted to replace Samir Nasri is Stewart Downing. Sportsmail reported, the Gunners ready to buy Aston Villa's wing with a bid of 15 million pounds.

Arsenal's bid could create a stronghold of stifling Liverpool. The Gunners could certainly tempt Downing with the lure of Champions League.

Downing is not the only player who wants Wenger. After the transfer of 10.6 million pounds Gervinho expected to be completed, the Gunners are still hunting two players to post defense.

Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka are two players who wanted Wenger. Both are expected to fill the post at full back Gael Clichy Arsenal substitute plus a move to Manchester City.
