Chelsea gets a talented young goalkeeper from Belgian club

Transfer rumors: Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas finally makes a purchase first. The Blues are obtained Thibaut Courtois, a talented young goalkeeper from Belgian club, Genk.

No mention is how much it costs Chelsea to redeem Courtois disbursed. But the Genk claimed that English clubs bid for the goalkeeper's 19 years 'very large'.

We received a huge offer that makes us have no choice but to let him go, said the Director of Genk, Dirk Degraen, told BBC Sport.

Last season, Courtois featured as many as 40 times for Genk and played a major role in bringing the club with a blue and white uniforms that won the Belgium Pro League.

My feelings about this transfer are mixed. Actually, we want to Thibaut survive a little longer, said Degraen.

For Chelsea, Courtois is the recruitment of their first under the control of managers Villas-Boas. The Portuguese manager was not willing to tell what his plans for Courtois.

Let's wait for him agreeing personal terms. It is unfair for me to comment, but soon after he became a Chelsea player, then we will see how his future, says Villas-Boas.
