From the mat last four, Arsenal won the tournament three times the pre-season of Emirates Cup 2011. But this tournament is like a "curse" for the Gunners. Why?

Emirates Cup pre-season tournament is held every year, starting in 2007 with Arsenal as the host. North London team's three-time winner of the 2007, 2009, and 2010. In 2008, Arsene Wenger's team finished in third place.

Emirates Cup team requires contestants to appear offensive. Because each goal that was created will also get points. So the points that will be collected by the team's 3-0 win would be more than just who won only 1-0.

Contestants this tournament is the top clubs. Inter Milan, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and Lyon are a few examples.

By looking at the contestants, then this tournament could be a good preparation for the participants to prepare for each season, Arsenal is no exception.

For this year, followed by Arsenal's Emirates Cup, the New York Red Bulls, Boca Juniors, and Paris Saint-Germain. The host faces Boca and New York Red Bull.

We had two matches against a strong team and it is competition that is right for our current stage of pre-season now entering a period like this, said the Arsenal midfielder Andrei Arshavin in the club's official website.

But there is an "anecdote" is quite disturbing because this tournament is like a "curse" for Arsenal. "I have always enjoyed this tournament and I hope we can show a lot of positive things, but honestly it is not important to win this tournament," said Arshavin.

Since I joined here, we won this tournament twice, but never won the trophy in the season. So I prefer to exchange the Emirates Cup title (with the champions-ed), joked the player from Russia's.
